Cobblestone House in Chenango County

Greek Revival cobblestone house at 630 Chenango County Route 14, Smyrna. It is the only known cobblestone house in Chenango County. "John F. Billings built on his farm in 1850 a large and commodious cobblestone house, which was then said to be the finest house in the county. It is also said to be the only house of its kind in the county."  P. 467, History of Chenango and Madison Counties, New York" by James H. Smith. Published by D. Mason & Co., Syracuse, N.Y. 1880.
